The BOrderBlaster story started...

... in 2005 between Europe and Africa with the mission of increasing collaborations and building platforms for constructive exchange. The first projects focused on music.
THE EARLY DAYS OF

BorderBlaster AFRICA

Since its beginning, BorderBlaster has developed artists, implemented projects and established new groundbreaking platforms in Africa, with the mission of building bridges for assisting artists to break borders and reach out internationally.

CAMERHHA

CAMEROON HIP HOP AWARDS

The first urban award ceremony ever to be organized in Cameroon was produced by BorderBlaster in 2006, bringing American hip hop legend J-Ro from Tha Alkaholiks, together with French rap star La Fouine and many other stars who performed alongside local artists during the Awards.

Breaking new talents with

TALENT SEARCH

BorderBlaster has developed and produced a range of artists since the beginning in 2005.

The project Talent Search was created to detect new talents and train them professionally for the international music industry.

EUROPEAN PROJECTS

When BorderBlaster started, upcoming artists struggled to reach out and make their music heared. The only digital platform at the time was MySpace. Most European medias played US music and local artists were craving to find new audiences.
As a consequence, BorderBlaster took the initiative to bring together European actors working with urban music and culture to create fruitful meetings and collective attempts to find new ways of overcoming the difficulties actors faced when working with urban culture.

MAKE IT BLAST

The first musical event for European urban artists took place in Stockholm 2008 and featured artists and speakers from around the Europe to exchange and perform.

EU-MUSIC DAYS

The European Urban Music Days was organized in Stockholm in collaboration with European Music Office,  City of Stockholm, STIM/Svensk Musik etc.
